With so many things to plan for your wedding, one of the most emotionally charged decisions you’ll need to make is what to wear. For many of us, it’s the one time in our lives when we get to wear a garment specifically designed and made to our measurements, but whether you go couture, off the rack or even vintage, the key to getting it right is to go with what you know suits you.
That being said, there are always trends in bridal wear and the predominant one for the last few seasons has been vintage. Colour is also strong this year, especially mint, aqua and coral shades – whether you choose to rock a coloured wedding gown amongst neutrally clad bridesmaids, or clothe your support team in bright beautiful shades is up to you. Another option is the portrait back gown, where the dress front is kept simple but the back is adorned with a panel of sheer chiffon or ornate lace from shoulders to below the waist - for a style that emphasises your waist and presents a lovely aspect to your guests during the ceremony.
Choosing your wedding ensemble is a very personal process - however you choose to do it, follow your heart and select something in which you feel comfortable and at your very best. After all, it’s the one day when all eyes will be on you.
